Antonio Ruiz de Montoya University commissioned me to do the finishes for the new building on their campus dedicated to their founder, Father Vicente Santuc, SJ. Vicente was also a close friend of my family, so I took on this project with special affection.

My first encounters with the Shipibo culture were influenced by him, as Vicente, through the Society of Jesus, had some projects with the Shipibo community of San Francisco in Pucallpa. Because of this, it seemed appropriate to use this theme for the series of murals located in the cafeteria of the building dedicated to his memory.
